Catherine Palace is named after Catherine I, the wife of Peter the Great, who
ruled Russia for two years after her husband's death. The
Catherine Palace (Russian: Екатерининский дворец) is a Rococo palace located in
the town of Tsarskoye Selo (Pushkin), 25 km southeast of St. Petersburg,
Russia. It was the summer residence of the Russian tsars.
The Catherine Palace is one of St. Petersburg's most popular visitor attractions. Daily open for public during 10 am to 6 pm. Last admission is at 5 pm.
